BratislavaThe Cellmates trio from Bratislava is inspired by the music and style of the 50’s the American rock and roll. Guys play modern rockabilly inspired by Elvis Presley or Buddy Holly. Their career has started by their own presentation of the hits of 50’s. The band has played since 2009 and during its existence has managed to present its show in different Slovak clubs, at festivals, motoshows and performed abroad as well.
In the autumn of 2010 The Cellmates recorded their first two covers. In February 2011 they added two more, one of which is original. The "Boppin`Around The Town" record indicates the forthcoming new direction of the band that does not want to offer only covers, but also tries to provide its own work and songs.
The Cellmates are currently working on their debut album which could be surprising in many ways. The band also tries to enrich its repertoire by remakes of some current hits.
