Auf seinem Label RODREC erschien 1998 das erste Album THE SCHLECHTST OF KNORKATOR. Platz. Ende 2000 wurde das 3. Album TRIBUTE TO UNS SELBST veröffentlicht.

Knorkator was founded in 1994 by STUMPEN and ALF ATOR. Both of them have had played together in the late 80\'s in the band FUNKREICH, but separated from each other because of musical differences. Only when STUMPEN together with his band BEULSHAUSEN began to cultivate filthy grooves with dirty German lyrics in the early 90\'s ALF offered his services as songwriter. But Beulshausen suddenly got disbanded and so they started together a new project. The first guitarist from KNORKATOR was JENS T. KIRK, before in the band THE FATE. 1995 the first EP \"A\" was created, then came the offer to support RIO REISER on his tour. Shortly before the tour started JENS T. KIRK opted left the band for starting on HALMAKENREUTHER. Today he is the frontman from SUB DUB MICROMACHINE. As substitute for KIRK came BUZZ DEE who has been active since the 70\'s in bands like MONOKEL, KEKS, MCB and DE BUFFBICKS. The tour was cancelled in the middle because RIO REISER has died, but KNORKATOR had achieved lots of fans all over Germany. In 1997 KNORKATOR won in a young talent competition in Berlin, the \"UNDERSOUND-Festival\", arranged then a monthly KNORKATOR PARTY at the Franz-Club and were discovered by the bass player from the band DIE ÄRZTE, RODRIGO GONZALEZ. On his label \"RODREC\" the first album \"THE SCHLECHTST OF KNORKATOR\" (The worst of Knorkator) was released. During the following tour KNORKATOR were signed on UNIVERSAL. In 1999 the album \"HASENCHARTBREAKER\" followed. For the tour to that album KNORKATOR for the first time occupied a drummer, namely CHRISH CHRASH who had played together with STUMPEN in BEULSHAUSEN as well as with BUZZ DEE in DE BUFF DICKS. In the spring of 2000 KNORKATOR took part at the preselection of the EUROVISION SONG CONTEST and got the 3rd position. The third album \"TRIBUTE TO UNS SELBST\" (Tribute to ourselves) was released in the end of 2000. In the period following KNORKATOR tried themselves in other sectors. The book \"DES WURZELS ZWEIG\" was created and a long reading tour followed. Then the project \"HIGH MUD LEADER\" was founded. STUMPEN, BUZZ DEE and ALF ATOR released under that name on their own label an album with funny folk music. A half year long ALF and STUMPEN produced the weekly show \"KOMMUNIKATOR\" for the radio station FRITZ in Berlin, in which the German language was in the focus. Stumpen launched a montly reading and film event which he gives since then in a club in Berlin Köpenick. 2003: the album \"ICH HASSE MUSIK\" (I hate music). For that tour a staff change was made. CHRISH CRASH was replaced by NICK ARAGUA (drums) and TIM BUKTU (bass). NICK had played before with \"DIE SKEPTIKER\", SCHWARZ and ALASKA, TIM had been a member in DEPRESSIVE AGE and also in ALASKA. CHRISH CHRASH works now with MARTIN KESICI. In 2004 the second KNORKATOR book was released: \"AM ANFANG WAR DAS AM\" (In the beginning was the In). Then in 2005 for celebrating the 11th band anniversary the DVD \"ZU ALT\" (Too old) with all video clips a live concert and a band documentation was released. In the period following some band members gave guest performances: BUZZ DEE accompanied HANS WERNER OLM, TIM played on BELA B.\'s solo tour. ALF ATOR had a temporary engagement with \"DIE POST\", besides that TIM and NICK played in the band UNIVERSAL SUPERVISOR. Parallel to that on a new KNORKATOR ALBUM was worked which is now completed and got the name \"DAS NÄCHSTE ALBUM ALLER ZEITEN\" (The next album of all time).
