HartbergFearancy is an Austrian metal band formed in Hartberg (Styria) in 2014. The musical style consists of elements out of several different types of metal, including groove, thrash, melodic death and industrial metal. Fearancy is influenced by bands of different metal sections, including DevilDriver, Fear Factory, In Flames and Machine Head, but mostly focuses on groovy riffs, melodic vocal lines and synths. The name can be seen as a combination of elements like „fear“, “fancy” and „frequency“ which are also part in the lyrics. In particular the main theme of the lyrics deals with real or surreal anxieties and schizophrenic states of mind.
