8279, consisting of producers Beezwax and Rock-L, are a production duo based in Berlin Kreuzberg whose musical influences range from Ska, Punk, Reggae to House, Hip Hop and D&B via Soul, Gospel, Jazz and Big Band. Their sound can be described as a fusion of vintage, organic and live instrumentation, walking basslines, edgy & upfront drums embellished by a scintillating modern definition. Together with Maya, singer, songwriter and actress, also from the heart of Berlin, they form the project "8279 with Maya"
