LondonNorweigian songstress Farao first appeared in January with a free download of haunting track ‘Forces’. Her fragile and otherworldly tone instantly connected with the media, picking up tastemaker support from The Line Of Best Fit’s editor-in-chief, Rich Thane and radio support as Lauren Laverne’s ‘MPFree track of the day’ on her BBC 6music show.
Farao spent February in Reykjavik recording with Mike Lindsay from experimental folk group Tunng. ‘Skin’ is the first track to be set for release as a digital-only single on May 27th. The song covers a tale of extra marital affair from the view of the seducer. Farao played all instrumentation barring drums, which was covered by Magnús Trygvason Eliassen. The B-side features a remix from Manchester’s Ghosting Season.
