51000 RijekaMy name is Alen Brentini and I am a guitarist / singer / songwriter, composer and arranger. I started playing guitar when I was 9 years old in my hometown Rijeka (Croatia). At the age of 15, I formed my first band called `Challenger` and performed consistently in Rijeka. At this time, I had long hair and played heavy metal :-) Following my years in high school, during which I had played in several rock bands, in the autumn of 1996, I met my friend with whom I formed acoustic duo. This was the start of my journey as an acoustic guitar player. These days we have about 200 gigs a year, all across Europe...
I also play electric guitar and my influences, among others, are Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimmy Page, Hendrix, Robert Johnson etc. I have done many recording sessions with established Croatian artists such as Dado Topic, Fiumens & Neno Belan, Aki Rahimovski etc., who I`ve also performed live and toured with. I have also played with many world-class musicians such as Woody Mann (NY, USA) and Franco Morone (IT) on fingerstyle guitar festivals in Croatia. I had also played with one of the most popular and respected Croatian artists called Aki Rahimovski. We did the Australian tour in 2007 and recorded a double album called `U vremenu izgubljenih`, on which I had recorded guitar tracks and written some lyrics. The album was recorded in Los Angeles and features several amazing guest musicians from USA, such as Marco Mendoza (Whitesnake, Thin Lizzy), Scott Henderson, Joey Heredia, Renato Neto (Prince) etc., along with some of the best Croatian musicians.
I released my first solo single in the winter of 2006., under the label of Croatia Records. I have since done new tracks and arrangements for my first solo record. An instrumental track called `Transexpress` features an amazing guest keyboard player Michael T. Ross from Los Angeles (Hardline, Lita Ford,Angel, Lizzy Borden etc.) I had also done promotions and video material for my album called "Treca Dimenzija" released for the capitol record company Croatia records.
In the meantime I played with and supported some of the greatest musicians on the planet: Richie Kotzen, Kee Marcello, Marco Mendoza, Nicole McCloud, Michael T.Ross and much more.I had a great time with all of them and did very successful shows! In May of 2010. I finished my second album called "Behind the walls of silence". This is an instrumental album.I wrote all songs, arrangements, performed a lot of instruments and finally did production.Album contains 13 tracks. I`m proud to present my new special guests musicians: Michael T.Ross (Lita Ford, Hardline...), Ken Sandin on bass (Kee Marcello, Swedish Erotica, Alien, DaVinci), Denis Razumović-Razz on sax (Jazz virtuoso) and much more...Also, in May of 2010. I did very successful tour in Croatia with my special guest on keyboards, Michael T.Ross. After all, we decide to make a new project together along with guest on drums Atma Anur (Jason Becker, Marty Friedman, Cacophony, Greg Howe...).This project is going very well. It will be on english at this time and sounds like pure high energy rock/hard rock.It`s gonna be my 3rd solo album.
I have endorsement of Ibanez electric guitars and plays exclusively on RG Prestige models.
