Everwaiting Serenade have been Luxembourg’s most active hardcore band since their foundation in 2005 and the following debut album ‘The Caress’ (2006). In Autumn 2007, the progressive Hardcore quintet won a public voting contest to join ‘The Never Say Die!’ Clubtour line-up at the Rockhal (LU). Since then, they have shared the stage with prestigious acts such as Misery Signals, The Comeback Kid, Parkway Drive, The Red Chord , Emmure, and August Burns Red.

EWS finally cemented their position among Luxembourg’s top bands in 2008 when they won the highly reputated Metal Battle contest which allowed them to play at the legendary international ‘Wacken Open Air Festival’ among acts such as Unearth, Hatebreed, Iron Maiden, Killswitch Engage, As I lay Dying and many more.

In March 2009 EWS release their second full-length album ‘Lungwork’ on ‘Granny Records’. Combining a unique interpretation of metalcore to a progressive, yet comprehensive song writing, the melodic hardcore aficionados present their emotional and intense opus in five chapters. Their open minded music and thoughtful lyrics are the very personal try of a band to satisfy the need of giving more sense to a cliché laden Hardcore and Metal genre. The melodies, the breakdowns, the Post Rock atmospheres and the sometimes chaotic and trenchant song writing on ‘Lungwork’ reflect the EWS philosophy: ‘We strive for what’s in our hearts’.

"With a new and ambitious label backing them, plus a clothing company taking care that these good looking lads are always well dressed, Everwaiting Serenade smartly coalesce style and substance into a whole that is destined to charm not only fans from their expected clientele. Lungwork is a milestone in local rock history, and now that dEFDUMp are gone, it’s no longer a question of who will take over the torch!" (Disagreement.net)
