Named after a 1900’s railway worker who lived with a personality disorder after an accident blew a hole in his head, Brighton’s PHINIUS GAGE have been piercing brains of their own throughout the UK with their furious brand of diverse punk rock.

Signing to UK independent label DECK CHEESE RECORDS in Jan 2003, the band’s debut mini album "More Haste More Speed" fuelled constant touring and high profile supports, clocking up a van-breaking 250 gigs in two years with bands including: [SPUNGE], FARSE, 4FT FINGERS, WHITMORE, CAPTAIN EVERYTHING, THE VOODOO GLOW SKULLS (USA), RUFIO (USA), SOMMERSET (New Zealand), ANTIMANIAX (Austria) and TEN FOOT POLE (USA).

Media support from Radio 1 (The Lock Up and Evening Session) and positive press reviews from Kerrang, Rock Sound, Fracture, Big Cheese, Punktastic.com, PunkNews.co.uk and Metal Hammer, have reflected the band’s progress over the last two years, helping build a vibrant fanbase who support Phinius Gage as one of the UK’s best live acts.

Phinius Gage’s new album “The Feeling Something’s Wrong” is the follow up to the successful mini-album of 2003.

Recorded at 811 Studios, Sussex with Producers Glover and Sog (THE ORDINARY BOYS, BEERZONE, ELECTRIC SOFT PARADE, LABRAT), the band’s first full length record has a dark and unique feel which sees their Sol-Cal influences beaten round the head with the big stick of British Punk Rock.

The “Feeling Something’s Wrong” by PHINIUS GAGE is released nationally on March 14th 2005 on Deck Cheese Records / Plastic Head (Cat number DECK025)
