englisch
Founding of Morbid Approach --------------------------- Morbid Approach was founded in 2016 by lead guitarist Andy Hyde. For quite a long time it was a solo project without other musicians. Andy endeavored to make this project into a real band over and over again but finally had to admit that it was time to give up due to lack of ambitious musicians. With one last exertion he reared up and made some solo live streams on Youtube and Facebook. Just at the right time, cause a bass player joined the stream and contacted Andy afterwards in order to join the project. New energy flowed into Morbid Approach, coupled with several doubts. There was no rehearsal room, not enough live equipment, no singer and drummer and beyond that all the world stuck deep inside the COVID pandemic. However, it was enough energy to contact a singer from a former band, rent a room and start making music online and mix it together in a home studio. All band members put lots of energy into the idea behind Morbid Approach and finally, in March 21, we had all we need to have: a new drummer, songs, a rehearsal room with all the equipment needed and the prospect of a chance to play live in fall 21 in a small venue in our town. Style and influences -------------------- The musical style of Morbid Approach is hardrock or old school metal. Actually, we see ourselves at as a Glam Metal band, which has been influenced by many other bands from the 80`s and early 90`s, like Motley Crue, Skid Row, Poison and also by today`s revitalized Glam Metal bands like Steel Panther. However, this bands influenced most of us, but we do not try to copy them, neither their music nor their style. What we do copy is the tendency to clothings, masks, show and attitude. But we do all this without making a parody out of it. It`s much more of an hommage to the rock stars of past decades. The idea behind Morbid Approach ------------------------------- The idea behind Morbid Approach is quite simple: having fun! While many hardrock and metal bands of these days deal with socially critical problems, other bands try to act as brutally as possible. What we`re missing is the fun that came along with hard music from the last century. It`s absolutely commendable if bands try to draw attention to climate change and other things. On the other hand this is the job of politicians and not our duty. We don`t condemn those bands, but actually it`s fun and party what we associate with music, even if it`s hard music. Therefore, we have come to give you a show. We have come to take you away from the unpleasant side of reality for a while. We have come to entertain you. And we do this by a quite overdrawn performance.
