I started doing music when I was 13 years old. One day, out of pure curiosity, I bought a video tape with clips of various rock bands in a big store in my home town and I was really more than impressed with what I heard and saw and I confess, I completely freaked out over it. That’s how my journey through the history of music started off. It was half a year later that my life-long love affair started: I bought my first guitar (a red Stratocaster-copy it was) and I was proud as a peacock over it. From that day on my life changed drastically. I was playing day and night burning with only one high ambition: to become a good guitarist and musician. Not long after that I joined my first band, a school band it was, our repertoire mainly rock covers, but I slowly also started writing music of my own. From then on, receptive as I was to changing influences and interests, I took to playing all sorts of music in various bands, I did life-performances, studio sessions and even went on tour abroad. I established a baroque quintett in 2001, the instrumentation consisting of an e-guitar, 2 violins, viola and violoncello. With the e-guitar as a solo instrument I interpreted works of old masters like Bach, Vivaldi, Telemann, Albinoni, etc. Today I pursue my own projects, working as a song writer as well as a session guitarist. I have a acoustic duo called "take two" and we do basically rock pop, which is currently quite successful. One of my aims now is to capture the audience just with one guitar, making the sound rich and fill up a song - in a way that no-one is missing any more instruments - if you get that with just one guitar you're doing pretty well! I think we're about to get there with "take two"...!
