Das ist „We All Yell“. (Walter Gröbchen) Das Album "We All Yell" wurde am 23.03.2012 veröffentlicht.
englisch
The album "We All Yell" was proudly released on 23/03/2012. This recording has been one intricately produced, full of independent sounds and flavors with compelling hook lines and surreal slow motion mortis. You’ll find a breach occurs, where you had not expected. And that, ladies and gentlemen, is ambition. Maybe even art. Great art. In any case, anything but current streamlining charged with full force. But do not worry: "alternative mainstream" stereotypes of fragility, lo-fi aesthetics and l`art pour l`art needs met (behind which often awkwardness, helplessness and disorientation hide) "We All Yell” is an album of pure pop. And because of this, desire has become the perfect three-minute work of art so rare, a welcome exception. Giantree have, for every hit that they themselves encounter, just before the impact can still scrape an elegant, absolutely intentional, artistically necessary curve with two additional hits in store. It doesn’t end here. Melodies intertwine and find themselves meeting in the heart center of perfect harmony. Yes, "We All Yell" has become frighteningly good. This is a debut album. The story first began in 2010. A first EP under the name Giantree had appeared. Brothers Roland and Hele Maurer found different avenues of talent in unsuspecting places. One was found through a short film project , one through applied encounters and another fellow university student. The gifts of Ada, Franziska and Konstantine allowed for the expansion of sound through added mic’s, synthesizer, bass and drums. The team was now complete. An acoustic tour through all parts of Berlin consolidated this fresh motley crew. "Time Loops" and "Communicate" arose, first single title, including videos (and fellow actors like Sabrina Reiter and Michael Fuith). Radios jumped out immediately to the opportunity. FM4 in Vienna, Soundportal in Graz and Radio Fritz in Berlin.. These songs penetrated the FM4 charts enthusiastically reaching the top. The lyrics are not secondary. They are answers to existential questions. They are filled with the contemplation of love, communication, death, present and future fears, misconceptions, and near wanderlust, perpetual up-and-down and necessary release. In conclusion, the use of striking bass tones, a wall of synthesizers and an atmospheric layer; a path is laid for moveable beat and driving guitar that ends in a compliment of steady male vocals. This is an album to lay down an absorb or fuel your movement. It perfectly aligns with the souls deepest need for a soundtrack to live, love and move. "On their debut album, Giantree dress self doubt in optimistic tunes. The comforting synthie-melancholia is a native Indie-Pop-promise which is itching to get onto the really big festival stages. (...) Fog dissolves into sunshine. A feeling of daytimelessness, as radiated by the likes of Arcade Fire or other great bands, spreads through Giantree’s debut. Despite all those sky high moments and intoxicating ring-a-ring-a-roses Giantree always dwell on self doubt and double edged memories. For wherever the californian sun shines, the shadows of the giant redwood trees fall too.” (Juliane Fischer, The Gap) “At the threshold between the abyss and the beginning is where Giantree’s music feels at home. Where the blackest black and a little light shake hands - that’s where their songs live. And it’s good that way.” (Alexandra Augustin, FM4)
