Asmodi Caligari aka Frank Stienen, Sänger der Electroformation Analogue Brain und der Livekeyboarder der Band, Mario M. beschlossen nach der Auflösung der Band weiterhin zusammenzuarbeiten. Ihre Liebe zu alten Stummfilmen und Musik der 80er Jahre brachten sie dazu, die ersten Demotracks zu produzieren. Eine Coverversion des Underground Hits The Cabinet der britischen New Wave Band „Das Kabinette“ wurde von Asmodi und Mario vorproduziert  und arrangiert. EGOamp nahm Kontakt zu David Bracher, ehemaliges Mitglied von „Das Kabinette“
auf und Bracher gefiel die neue Version so gut, daß er die Coverversion für Veröffentlichungen freigab. Weitere Tracks wie EGOmanic Maniacs und We are Freaks wurden von Caligari und M. produziert und weckten das Interesse von Chris Lietz, Produzent von „Die Krupps“, „Doro Pesch“ oder „Catastrophe Ballet“, der das Debutalbum Welcome to the Cabinet im „Atom H Studio“ in Bochum zusammen mit der Band produzierte. Über eine Social Media Plattform lernte EGOamp das Label „Black Leather Records“ aus Kolumbien kennen, die die The Cabinet EP digital veröffentlichte. Darauf befanden sich Remixes des Titelstücks von Künstlern wie „People Theatre“, „Raul Parra“ oder „Cosaquitos en Globo“. Die Originalversion wurde u.a. auf Electro Compilations wie Darkness before Dawn Volume 1 oder Abby – The Compilation Part III veröffentlicht. Viele Liveauftritte folgten und noch vor dem Release der ersten CD spielte EGOamp am 29. Mai 2009 als Headliner in der Moritzbastei im Rahmen des „Wave Gotik Treffen“ in Leipzig. Aufgrund künstlerischer Differenzen verließ Mario M, die Band, um sich anderen Dingen zu widmen und EGOamp wurde zum „One Man Projekt“, welches live durch Chris Castle am Keyboard unterstützt wurde. Mit dem in Hessen beheimateten Label „Ionium Records“ wurde ein Partner gefunden, der das Album Welcome to the Cabinet am 19. Oktober 2012 veröffentlichte. Das Themenalbum über den Stummfilm Das Cabinet des Dr. Caligari (1920, Regie: Robert Wiene) wurde von Musikliebhabern und Presse sehr positiv aufgenommen, u.a. von „Medienkonverter“ und „Sparklingphotos“ (Wertung 10/10 Punkte). Um das Thema des Albums abzuschließen, bat EGOamp befreundete Bands und Künstler, ihre eigenen Versionen von ausgesuchten Titeln des Erstlingswerkes zu erstellen. Das Ergebnis wurde 2012 unter dem Namen Replika EP auf „Ionium Records“ veröffentlicht. Die Neuinterpretationen von „Menschliche Energie“, „The Nightchild“ oder „The Atone“ zeigten, daß die Songs auch im neuen Gewand zu überzeugen wussten. Als Überbrückung zum zweiten Album publizierte EGOamp am 26. September 2014 die Neonshein EP. Zu dem deutschsprachigen Titel wurden vier Remixes und ein Musikvideo veröffentlicht.
Das zweite Album „1/0“, welches unter Mitwirkung des Producers Per-Anders Kurenbach („The Eternal Afflict“, „Psyche“, „Shock Therapy“) entstand, befasst sich mit solch unterschiedlichen Dingen wie Robotern, Aliens, Computer, der menschlichen Sprache und bedient sich visuell und thematisch beim Science-Fiction Film der 30-60 Jahre. In „Unitingsoundmedia“ fand EGOamp ein neues Label, welches das Album am 06. April 2015 auf den Markt brachte. Auch dieses Werk wurde sehr wohlwollend aufgenommen und erreichte Platz 32 der Top 300 Deezer Album Charts (all genres) in Estland. Im Musikmagazin Orkus erschien zum Release von 1/0 ein doppelseitiger Bericht über die Band.
Zum 10-jährigen Bandjubiläum haben sich talentierte Remixer den Songs des 1/0 - Albums angenommen und die EP beinhaltet neue Versionen des Titelstücks, weitere alternative Versionen von Tracks des Albums, sowie einen brandneuen, exklusiven Track. Der Titelsong des Albums Mesmerized ist der bisher persönlichste Track der Bandgeschichte und wurde von Dirk Riegner (Co-Autor von Peter Heppner) neu eingespielt. Die Veröffentlichung des Werkes erfolgte am 19.05.2017 beim Label Unitingsoundmedia. Das dazugehörige Musikvideo wurde wieder von Asmodi Caligari für www.delightfilm.de produziert. Mesmerized erreichte Platz 12 der iTunes Top Alternative Albums in Italien.  Die "Puppet of Joy" EP erreichte Platz 32 der Top 300 Deezer Album Charts (all genres) in Estland

und sollte ein Dankeschön für treue Fans sein.

Seit Veröffentlichung der EP arbeitet die Band an seinem dritten Album. Zwei Titel der CD, "Nadja" und "The Shining" wurden auf verschiedenen Samplern veröffentlicht und zeigt den neuen EGOamp Stil auf. Eine Vorab EP ist in Planung.

Live erscheint die Band, die nun zum Trio geworden ist in weißen Kitteln und Zylinder als professoren bzw. Klangtüftler, deren Musik im Soundlabor entsteht und den experimentellen Charakter einiger Stücke unterstreichen soll. Im Laufe ihrer Karriere spielte die Band u.a. im Vorprogramm von De/vision, In the Nursery, Sono, Leichtmatrose oder The Crüxshadows, sowie an eher ungewöhnlichen Locations wie Tonstudios und Wohnzimmer. So wurde das letztgenannte Konzert via Facebook als Livestream gesendet.
Sonstiges: Das in Wesel am Niederrhein beheimatete Punklabel Plastic Frog Records   bat EGOamp, bei einem
Trio-Tribute Sampler mitzumachen und so entschied sich die Band für das nie offiziell erschienene Stück Ja Ja Ja. EGOamps Version wurde im EBM-Stil verändert und live mit großem Erfolg gespielt. Der Tribute Sampler kam aus verschiedenen Gründen nicht zustande und die Band dachte über eine anderweitige Veröffentlichung nach. Leider gab es verlagsrechtliche Schwierigkeiten und die Idee wurde Ad acta gelegt, bis der Dj Al Dente auf die Coverversion aufmerksam wurde und sie nach Klärung mit dem Musikverlag und Trio Sänger Stefan Remmler auf der Compilation Net.Ware Adrion koppelte.

Asmodi Caligari aka Frank Stienen, singer of the electro-formation Analogue Brain, and the band`s live keyboardist, Mario M., decided to continue working together after the band`s dissolution. Their love for old silent films and 1980s music led them to produce the first demo tracks. A cover version of the underground hit The Cabinet by the British New Wave band "Das Kabinette" was pre-produced and arranged by Asmodi and Mario. EGOamp contacted David Bracher, former member of "Das Kabinette", and Bracher liked the new version so much that he cleared it for release. Other tracks, such as EGOmanic Maniacs and We Are Freaks, were produced by Caligari and M. and piqued the interest of Chris Lietz, producer of "Die Krupps", "Doro Pesch", and "Catastrophe Ballet", who produced the debut album Welcome to the Cabinet at the "Atom H Studio" in Bochum with the band. Through a social media platform, EGOamp came into contact with the Colombian label "Black Leather Records", which digitally released The Cabinet EP. It featured remixes of the title track by artists such as "People Theatre", "Raul Parra", and "Cosaquitos en Globo". The original version was also released on electro compilations like Darkness before Dawn Volume 1 and Abby – The Compilation Part III. Many live performances followed, and even before the release of the first CD, EGOamp headlined the Moritzbastei at the "Wave Gotik Treffen" in Leipzig on May 29, 2009. Due to artistic differences, Mario M. left the band to pursue other interests, and EGOamp became a "one-man project," with live support from Chris Castle on keyboards. The band found a partner in the Hessen-based label "Ionium Records", which released the album Welcome to the Cabinet on October 19, 2012. The concept album about the silent film The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari (1920, directed by Robert Wiene) was well-received by music lovers and the press, including Medienkonverter and Sparklingphotos (rated 10/10 points). To complete the album`s theme, EGOamp invited friendly bands and artists to create their own versions of selected tracks from the debut album. The result was released in 2012 under the name Replika EP on "Ionium Records." The reinterpretations of "Menschliche Energie," "The Nightchild," and "The Atone" showed that the songs were still compelling in their new forms. As a bridge to the second album, EGOamp released the Neonshein EP on September 26, 2014. The German-language title was accompanied by four remixes and a music video.

The second album, 1/0, created with the involvement of producer Per-Anders Kurenbach ("The Eternal Afflict," "Psyche," "Shock Therapy"), deals with topics like robots, aliens, computers, human language, and draws inspiration visually and thematically from science fiction films of the 1930s-1960s. EGOamp found a new label in Unitingsoundmedia, which released the album on April 6, 2015. This album was also well received and reached number 32 on the Top 300 Deezer Album Charts (all genres) in Estonia. A double-page feature about the band appeared in the music magazine Orkus with the release of 1/0. For the band`s 10th anniversary, talented remixers reworked songs from the 1/0 album, and the EP included new versions of the title track, other alternative versions of songs from the album, as well as a brand new, exclusive track. The title track of the album, "Mesmerized," is the most personal song in the band`s history and was re-recorded by Dirk Riegner (co-writer of Peter Heppner). The release of the work took place on May 19, 2017, through the label Unitingsoundmedia. The accompanying music video was once again produced by Asmodi Caligari for www.delightfilm.de. "Mesmerized" reached number 12 on the iTunes Top Alternative Albums chart in Italy. The Puppet of Joy EP reached number 32 on the Top 300 Deezer Album Charts (all genres) in Estonia and was meant as a thank you to loyal fans.

Since the release of the EP, the band has been working on their third album. Two tracks from the CD, "Nadja" and "The Shining," have been released on various compilations, showing the new EGOamp style. A preview EP is in the works.

Live, the band, which has now become a trio, appears in white lab coats and top hats as professors or sound experimenters, emphasizing the experimental nature of some of their pieces. Throughout their career, the band has played as the opening act for De/vision, In the Nursery, Sono, Leichtmatrose, The Crüxshadows, and others, in rather unusual venues like recording studios and living rooms. For example, one of these concerts was streamed live on Facebook.

Other: The punk label Plastic Frog Records, based in Wesel on the Lower Rhine, asked EGOamp to participate in a Trio tribute sampler, and the band chose the never officially released track "Ja Ja Ja." EGOamp`s version was altered in the EBM style and performed live with great success. The tribute sampler was not released for various reasons, and the band considered other ways of releasing it. Unfortunately, there were publishing rights issues, and the idea was shelved until DJ Al Dente became aware of the cover version. After clearing the rights with the music publisher and Trio singer Stefan Remmler, the track was included on the Net.Ware Adrion compilation.
