Keine Langeweile, immer was Neues!
englisch
German melancholic rock with occasional ska - excursions and a touch of blues. Blender come from Hanover and have joined the German rock prescribed. The band has existed since the spring of 2007 and focuses on his own compositions. In their lyrics they succeed, much sincerity and feeling with a little self-glory and not small amounts of cynicism and sarcasm to combine. The resulting very rough or very melancholy texts are hard times, impulsive, sometimes by delicate ornamentation without major constraints, rocking rhythms and melodies accompanied by the occasional sound of blues, but sometimes in the direction of ska.
Press releases / reviews for the EP "...und das ist erst der Anfang!" Sound network wrote:
Melancholy, profound and lyrical text, mixed with blues, rock and ska midst of a price list from Hanover. Blender are melancholic German rock with everything a music lover`s heart desires.
Stars in the City wrote:
Grim alternative with influences from blues to ska ... What comes out when Pavement and the Böhse Onkelz crosses and a shot ska add? Blender from Hanover. The four found themselves together in early 2007 to the German rock their own form of life. With Churches as a singer and guitarist, Chris on guitar, and bass bonsai at the Jules behind the drums to be melancholy, together with the audience acted out and processed. Not for nothing type Blender as their musical influence on the blues and bustle. The rauszuhören is already good, but in no case is the only element of their music, the grundehrlichen texts that deal with topics such as depression and interpersonal problems, background. The disc is almost completely in medium tempo. In the opener, "The Night", are strings, the song a lot of atmosphere. "I dream of you" begins with a harmonica solo and as almost all the songs on this EP a quieter number. The hardness of the songs in this music comes not from the beats or distorted guitars. Instead, it generates Churches singer with his voice rough with the necessary tension. A brief increase this tension delivers "The Lonely" the piece, which finally confirmed the listener, why Blender assert itself, even to ska. It is hardly conceivable that Jamaican rhythms so sad, melancholy music performed processed. The chorus then finally even the Gitarrenverzerrer things that the rest of the disc reluctant to ever not be used, and give the cynical "Who is lonely, it has really good" tidy vigor. Continue with "Burning Soul" a song, that he Blender is quite positive start, but then a thoughtful content to depressed arcs. Or is "Burning soul - burning in the throat" perhaps the most ironic Vertextung and dubbing of a simple Saufkaters? "The pain in my head was slowly" provides the answer: Yes, this is so. "Hard Times" finally delivers the band for the conclusion of their brief and melancholy EP. Unlike the rest of the pieces comes this strange feeling relaxed and optimistic, therefore. The text continues in this way higher Stimmungsgefilde but again an end: "Time heals all wounds, but it seems to stand still" makes clear that it is very difficult, after a relationship ended back up. It is not easy, four from Hanover to categorize. This speaks for a large autonomy, and that really made something new. The band is approaching the alternative, just as it nears the blues or ska rhythms into their songs fitted. The mood is bleak indeed, but not in the sense, such as Gothic or death metal bands is the case, but rather loose yet powerful and without any perspective - except to cooperate and to make music. Even if it is blues. The EP is on the MySpace page of Blender for EUR 10 including shipping.
